Research Says Cases of Dementia Are Side Effects Of Pharmaceuticals

It’s not hard to see just why Alzheimer’s disease has become a primary concern for medical researchers. According to the Alzheimer’s Association more than five million people in America are currently suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. And by 2050 that number is expected to reach 16 million.

Alzheimer’s disease is also the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. Killing more Americans than prostate cancer and breast cancer combined.

And while many people use the terms dementia and Alzheimer’s interchangeably the fact is that Alzheimer’s disease only accounts for about 50-70 percent of all of the dementia cases.1 This erroneous correlation has led to many important and dangerous facts about dementia being swept under the rug.

The fact is, dementia is often caused by something other than what scientists are currently trying to understand as is the case with Alzheimer’s. Instead it’s caused by things that for the most part are often misconstrued as helpful and essential for good health. Things like vaccines and prescription drugs.

A good example of this is the fact that the Alzheimer’s Association who publishes most of the stats and data surrounding Alzheimer’s disease is subsidized by Big Pharma. Leading people to the assumption that every time someone suffers from memory loss it is somehow associated with Alzheimer’s disease is good for business, especially when you sell a drug that supposedly addresses it.

The research and statistics they provide has led to more money flowing their way. Sure, the majority of the people working at the Alzheimer’s Association ad other organizations are well-meaning people who are just trying to help. But, unfortunately, many of them are unaware of the Big Pharma connection many of these organizations have.

You Have More Control
Over “Dementia” Than You Think

According to The Centre For Research on Globalization, dementia cases are spiking.2

But what’s interesting is that this spike in dementia cases coincides with an increase in the number of vaccinations both children and adults are being given. As well as the increase in brain altering prescription drugs like antidepressants.

In a help guide based on a report from Harvard University, the authors essentially admit to the correlation.3

In the report it says, “medications are common culprits in mental decline.”

That’s because as we age our ability to filter and metabolize drugs declines. This is due primarily to the liver becoming less efficient and less able to break these drugs down. This creates a toxic build-up of drugs in the system and this accumulation of drugs can have brain altering effects. It’s especially dangerous for those who take multiple prescriptions.

The list of drugs that can cause dementia like symptoms are antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, sedatives, corticosteroids, narcotics, antihistamines, cardiovascular drugs, and anticonvulsants.

As you can see the range of medications is quite large and many elderly people take medications from at least one of these categories if not more.

So, if you’re over the age of 60 you may want to double check your own medicine cabinet.

In a recent study published in JAMA Internal Medicine, researchers found a correlation between the long-term use of popular medications like Benadryl and other anticholinergic drugs to dementia.4

According to the study, people who took these medications for three years or more had a 54 percent higher chance of developing dementia.

Vaccines have also been shown to cause dementia like symptoms. People as young as 40 are being diagnosed with dementia and medical experts believe that there must be an environmental cause. For example, mercury containing thimerosal was often used in childhood vaccines up until 2001. Even today some vaccines, including flu shots still use it.

The Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease published a study showing that exposure to mercury may produce many of the cognitive changes seen in Alzheimer’s. Including impaired cognitive function, loss of memory and confusion.5

According to one of the study’s authors Richard Deth, “mercury is clearly contributing to neurological problems, whose rate is increasing in parallel with rising levels of mercury. It seems that the two are tied together.”

Another common ingredient found in vaccines is aluminum. It has also been linked to dementia as well.6

All of these findings appear to point the finger of blame towards the pharmaceutical companies, who profit from not only the vaccines but also from the drugs that are supposed to address the side-effects they may be causing.
